Professor Ioannis Theodorou, Head of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture at the School of Agricultural Sciences, University of Patras. He holds a degree in Biology (University of Patras) and has specialized in Fisheries and Shellfish Culture (Bangor University, Wales, UK), Fish Product Quality Management and Marketing (University of Hull, UK), and earned a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences (Ghent University, Belgium). He has over 25 years of professional experience in Mediterranean aquaculture, during which he has implemented more than 30 industrial, educational, and research projects in the field. As an expert, he has served as a consultant to national and international institutions and organizations across Europe and the United States. He has published 80 scientific papers and 13 chapters in edited volumes.
