Dr. Jonas Van Damme

Dr. Jonas Van Damme is R&D Project Manager at Sioen Industries. He holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Ghent University (2018), and is a key contributor to the development of high-performance technical textile solutions.

Since joining the Sioen company, he has worked across a wide range of projects, from long-term strategic research to application-driven developments tailored to specific customer needs. His expertise lies in translating material science into advanced solutions for demanding industrial and marine environments, including aquaculture applications.

His work focuses on the development of innovative materials for aquaculture and marine applications, while also supporting the broader industry through solutions that improve durability, performance and efficiency.

He collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and industry partners to bring practical and application-oriented innovations to the market.
