Christina Zantioti is a PhD candidate at the Agricultural University of Athens, specializing in fish nutrition and sustainable aquaculture. Her research focuses on innovative feed solutions to improve the sustainability of Mediterranean fish production. She is the President of NOWA Network of Women in Aquaculture, where she promotes gender equity and the empowerment of women in the sector. She also has strong involvement in youth-led initiatives, including the Global Youth Constituency on Fisheries and Aquaculture of the World Food Forum (FAO) and the European Aquaculture Society Student Group, contributing to dialogue and action on the future of aquatic food systems. As a moderator, she brings scientific expertise alongside a clear commitment to inclusive dialogue, amplifying youth perspectives, and advancing gender equality in aquaculture.
