Dr. Kyla Zatti specializes in aquaculture nutrition within BioMar’s R&D department in Norway as a Senior Scientist. After earning their PhD in Animal Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 2013, with a thesis focused on increasing highly unsaturated n-3 fatty acids in rainbow trout fed vegetable oil, she has held prominent positions across both academia and industry. Her work centers on optimizing aquaculture feed to enhance fish growth, health, and fillet quality. As the leader of Sustainable Nutrition Area in R&D, Kyla is at the forefront of advancing alternative raw materials for aquaculture feeds, aiming to deliver sustainable and cost-effective solutions. Her contributions also extend through research publications and sharing findings at numerous aquaculture and nutrition conferences worldwide.
