GFSI/QMS/MSC and ASC CoC Lead Auditor.
Smaro Athanasiadou is a Food Technologist and Lead Auditor with more than 20 years of experience in product safety and quality, supplier management, and the implementation of quality and sustainability management systems. She currently works at TÜV NORD Hellas as a GFSI & QMS Lead Auditor, conducting audits for standards such as BRC, IFS, FSSC, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, MSC/ASC CoC, Global G.A.P. CoC, organic products, and V-label.
In the past, she served for many years as Quality, Safety & Internal Policies Supervisor in the retail sector, responsible for private label product quality management, supplier evaluation, risk and crisis management, as well as the implementation of sustainability strategies and Product Integrity across international supply chains. Her previous experience includes roles in the food industry involving quality control, quality assurance, and production monitoring. She has significant experience in team management, project coordination, and working within multinational environments.
She holds an MSc in Quality Management and has received advanced training as a Lead Auditor in multiple standards.
